Hershey 2 Domestic Short Hair Young - Adoption, Rescue for sale in Pittsboro, North Carolina

Hershey is one of Eclipse's four little kittens who were surrendered to a North Carolina animal control shelter just after birth. He and his siblings were fortunate to be pulled by the Goathouse so they could remain together with their mom, and the Goathouse found a wonderful foster to care for them and allow them a room of their own in which to run and play. Hershey is gray and white with gray ears and tail, a white tummy and white blaze on his face and four white stocking feet. He is super sweet and affectionate and always loves to run and play with his siblings. Hershey would love to find a home along with one of his siblings or another kitten his age, as they have never been separated from one another and enjoy each other's company. This little guy is currently in foster, but will be coming back to the refuge around December 21. DOB: August 21, 2017

Please be advised that we have a policy of not adopting out kittens until they are four months old, and then only to families with no children under the age of six years. We require that kittens be adopted in pairs until they are five months old, as they are very bonded to their siblings and can become quite depressed and stressed due to the separation. Kittens must be at least nine months old before they are adopted into homes with children under the age of six years.

If interested in adopting from the Goathouse Refuge, please plan to take the following steps required in our adoption process:
1. Come for a Visit: No appointment necessary: just drop by during our normal visiting hours of noon-3 PM. We're open seven days a week, including holidays, though we recommend that you come on the weekend if possible, as we have more volunteers available to assist.
2. Complete our online application: Visit our website (click link above or go to under the 'adopt' tab).
3. Home Visit: All adoption applications will be reviewed by the refuge staff, and if the applicant seems to be a good fit for the cat(s) of interest, the refuge will contact the interested party to set up a home visit. Only after a representative of the refuge conducts a home visit will the refuge then consider continuing with the adoption process.
